That Glen Innes was developed as a suburb after the second world war and was named after the farm of william Innes taylor who had settled in new zealand from scotland in 1843.

IN 1890 he died from pneumonia, witched he developed travelling home from auckland on a wet night.

In the early 1840s, Tamaki was an area of scrub- covered hills and valleys.

Taylor named the farm after himself and his mother’s maiden name before she married Lieut

Different names of schools, new buldings and new houses.

They used canoes because the roads weren't built so they used the Tamaki River.
They traded the ells for smoked mullet
